I love, love working with newborns and new parents!  It’s such a special part of life and what an honor it is to be asked to be apart of it.  Ever since my own children were born, I’ve been working with new parents.  I have postpartum doula training, and also worked as a lactation educator, before committing to newborn photography.

I take the safety and comfort of your newborn very seriously.  I have invested in newborn posing and safety courses.  No image is worth the safety of your baby.  No pose is guaranteed.  Not every baby will go in (or be comfortable in) every pose.  My sessions are 100% baby-led. This means, we stop and take time for soothing, diaper changes, and/or feeding as needed.

I enjoy spending time with my clients.  There’s nothing quite like the pride that exudes from new parents.  Getting to witness that pride at each session is such a reward.  I would love to create beautiful newborn images for your family.  Please contact me to learn more.

I am a mother of 3 children.  My oldest was born in 2008 and a little over 2 years later my twins were born.  My children keep me busy when I’m not photographing.  I can often be found at the softball field or pool.  I am a board member on Bellevue Middle School’s PTO, and enjoy volunteering in our elementary school’s library one day a week.  I love getting to see excited children coming to pick out a new book!

I have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s in education.  Prior to having children I worked as a software developer.  I have always enjoyed photography.  I purchased my first film slr camera in 2000, but it wasn’t until my twins were born that I started taking it seriously.  Over the years I’ve taken online workshops and courses in general photography, newborn posing, studio systems, lighting, family posing, etc.

Some of my favorite things are clean sheet night, brand new socks, and ice cream.
